Can I access the Energi Savr Node system from a corporate Wi-Fi network?
This is not recommended. Energi Savr Node is not designed for access from a corporate network but it can be done if the IT team isolates the Energi Savr Node network from all other network traffic. The Wi-Fi connection and mobile app are designed only for programming the initial system startup and system upgrades or changes, and not for real time light level control.

Can I run 0-10V wires in the same conduit as the line voltage wires?
This answer often depends on local codes and the capabilities of the ballast/driver. Local codes that allow Class 2 wiring to be run as Class 1 will call out what is required for reclassification, such as adding Class 1 labels over the Class 2 markings. However, running the 0-10 V signal as Class 1 wiring does introduce some concerns, including noise / interference caused by coupling between the line voltage and low voltage wires. This noise / interference can cause a voltage fluctuation on the 0-10 V wires which can create a difference between the light level requested by the control and the light level signal being received by the ballast / driver. For more information, check out our Application Note on 0-10V applications.

Can I run ECO system digital low voltage wire in the same run or conduit as AC power?
Yes, when using EcoSystem devices, the EcoSystem loop is capable of being run as Class 1 or Class 2 wiring (if allowable by local codes) by following the proper re-classification steps. The digital nature of the communication eliminates the noise / interference concern because the communication does not rely on measuring small changes in the voltage.

Can I wire the sensor to a power pack along with a 0-10V dimmer?
You can do this, however, it is important to note that if the switch is in the OFF position, the occupancy sensor will not be able to turn the lights on automatically. For more information on this setup, check out our short description on Application Note.

How far can I run 0-10V wire?
Many variables affect how long you can run a 0-10V circuit. These include the number of ballasts/drivers, the source rating of each ballast/driver, the gauge of the wire, any noise on the wire run, and what voltage drop will allow the control to maintain a minimum light level.
Due to this number of variables, we can't provide a number that can be used in all applications. However, you can calculate the expected voltage drop for a given distance. Learn more at our 0-10V Application Note. Was this FAQ helpful?Thank you! We appreciate your feedback! -
How many devices can I pair with this?
One sensor can be associated with up to 10 compatible RF dimming or switching devices.

What do I need in order to program an Energi Savr Node?
To program an Energi Savr Node you will need a Wi-Fi router, an idevice, the Energi Savr Node app, and in some cases the program interface--model QSE-CI-AP-D (you don't need this if you're using the EcoSystem Energi Savr Node).

What sensor programming can be manually adjusted in the Lutron app?
The app allows for adding/removing lights affected by an occupancy group (and changing levels of each affected light) for both occupied and unoccupied actions. This includes setting occupied and/or unoccupied actions to "unaffected" for each individual light. Was this FAQ helpful?Thank you! We appreciate your feedback!
