How do I find my Model Number?
Do you have the original packaging?

If your product came in plastic packaging (a clamshell), you’ll find the model number on the front of the insert card, on the lower left corner. If your product came in a box, you’ll find the model number on the top of the box.
Most model numbers are 12-16 characters and start with a couple letters followed by a dash.
No packaging? No problem!

The product number is on a label on the side of the dimmer or switch.*
If you’ve already installed the dimmer/switch, turn off the electricity and then remove the wallplate. Unscrew and remove the wallplate adapter, then unscrew the dimmer/switch and pull it out of the wall until you can see the label.
*Please note: The product number for Ariadni/Toggler dimmers is not on a label. It’s located directly on the front of the dimmer on the top left, or right below the on/off toggle.

In fact, Lutron tested the Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer mounting base on a wide variety of toggle switches and wallplates to ensure it would accommodate a majority of height and width variations. Bottom line, the Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer should fit over most toggle switches.

The Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer is solely designed for use with toggle switches. Using a magnet can affect the reliability of the Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer’s rotary functionality, and should not be used.

Yes! The Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer doesn’t require the Philips Hue bridge or a hub – it can be directly paired with up to 12 compatible Zigbee smart bulbs. However, connecting the Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer to a Philips Hue bridge is recommended as it allows you to take advantage of certain features like scenes and scheduling.

How long does it take for a Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer to be paired with a Phillips Hue bridge?
Pairing a Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer with the Philips Hue bridge is relatively quick and easy, taking (on average) less than 10 seconds. Pairing can take longer depending on the amount of network traffic and your distance from the Philips Hue bridge. When you’re ready to pair a Lutron Aurora smart bulb dimmer to your Philips Hue bridge, try to stand as close to the bridge as possible.
