Troubleshooting
-
LED option exhibits a flash or steppy dimming on first use.
- Drivers will "learn" the LED load on first start-up. This is a one-time event for a particular driver/LED combination. Running the load at full output for 20 seconds will complete the "learning" phase and will prevent LEDs from flashing or steppy dimming moving forward.

Light flashes on/off or does not turn on.
- Ensure the LED array parameters meet the specifications of the driver being used.
- Ensure wire length from driver to LED does not exceed the limitations found on the driver specification sheet.
- For 5-Series and Hi-Lume 1% with Soft-On, Fade-to-Black drivers, ensure the driver is being controlled through an Ecosystem data link and not through a line voltage dimmer.
- For Hi-Lume 1% drivers, Ensure you're controlling the drivers either through an EcoSystem link (L3D), a 3-wire fluorescent dimmer (L3D), or a 2-wire dimmer (LTE), depending on which driver is being used.
- For Hi-Lume Premier 0.1% drivers, ensure driver is being controlled through an EcoSystem data link or a 3-wire fluorescent dimmer. (Note: Soft-on, Fade-to-Black capabilities are only available when dimming with EcoSystem).
- If you're using a 3-wire dimmer, ensure the dim hot and switched hot terminals are not swapped.
- For constant voltage drivers, ensure you are getting 120-277 VAC to the input of the driver, and are reading the specified DC voltage on the output. If the output is correct with no load attached, the driver is working. In that case, we suggest contacting the LED manufacturer.
- For constant current drivers, ensure you are getting 120-277 VAC to the input of the driver and the DC voltage on the output will ramp up continuously with no load attached. This ensures the driver is working.
- Adjust the low-end trim on the 3-wire or 2-wire dimmer.
