How to Factory Default Caseta Dimmers, Switches, and Fan Controls
Please remember that all pairing / programming will be lost and the unit will return to it's original factory settings. There are a few reasons why you may need to Factory Default a Caseta Dimmer, Switch or Fan Control. They are listed below:
- Removing the pairing of a Pico remote with the dimmer, switch or fan control.
- If a dimmer/switch is unable to be paired to a Caseta Hub, it may be necessary to default the device as part of a troubleshooting step. By factory defaulting the dimmer/switch you can be assured that the unit is reset and is cleared of any previous device pairing.
- Associating the dimer/switch with a new Caseta Hub. This is typical if you are moving a device to a new location within the house or if you move to another home.
- In general to be sure the dimmer/switch is not associated to anything and start fresh in a new application.
