Section (2): Product Installation

NOTES ON INSTALLATION
  • Neutral wire required.

  • Can wire to mechanical 3-way switch in 3 way applications.
  • Use with Pico remote for 3-way and multi-location dimming (Pico sold separately)
    • Up to 10 Pico remotes can be paired with 1 Diva Smart Dimmer  
  • If there is no ground wire in your electrical box, cap off the green wire from the switch. A ground wire connection is not required for this switch to function properly.  A ground wire may be required by local electrical code.

Section (3): Product Settings

Status LED Indicator Light
Has a white soft glow status LED to indicate load status.

Note:
This can only be disabled/enabled with the use of the Lutron App. Please see the steps to do so below.

Step 1
Tap on the Claro Smart Switch from the Devices area in the Lutron App. Then select "Edit Device".

Step 2
Tap on the "Status LED".

Step 3
Select "On" or "Off" (default is On) and then tap on "Save" in the top right corner of the screen.

Section (4): Troubleshooting
 
SymptomsProbable cause and action
Light does not turn on or switch LED does not light up.• Red and black wires on the switch are reversed.  
• Light bulb(s) burned out.
• Breaker is OFF or tripped.
• Light not properly installed.
• Wiring error.
• FASS on the switch is in the Off position
Light does not respond to Pico remote control.• The switch failed to pair with Pico remote control; see Pairing the switch and Pico remote control.
• The switch is already at the light level the Pico remote control is sending.
• The Pico remote control is outside the 30 ft (9 m) operating range.
• The Pico remote control battery is low.
• The Pico remote control battery is installed incorrectly
Load is Off and the status LED is blinking 4 times, pause, and repeats.• The switch is in an Over Temperature Protection (OTP) mode.
• Ensure Ganging and Derating has been accounted for so that the switch is not overloaded.
• Reset the switch by using the FASS, (Front Accessible Service Switch) located under the Off button. Pull out the FASS and push it back in.
