A project’s priorities, along with the functional needs for a given space, can help facilitate a fabric selection.
Commercially, fabric performance properties and certifications are equally as important as aesthetics. Priorities need to be established for each project. Priorities may include the aesthetic look of the fabric, energy savings potential, indoor environmental quality, preserving a view, blocking a view, and increasing privacy. Residentially, fabrics election is most typically based on aesthetics and views.
