Section (2): Checking HomeKit Automations that may be setup in the Home App.
Need a Apple TV (4th generation or later), HomePod or iPad (running iOS 10 or later) to act as the Home Hub.
SECTION (2): Checking HomeKit Automations that may be setup in the Home App.
Step 1
Tap on Automation located in the bottom right of the Home Screen within the Home App.
Step 2
Here you will see the list of Automations previously created or available. Tap on the automation name to expand and check programming options.
Step 3
You will be able to see if the current Automation is enabled from this screen. If this Automation is suspected in turning unwanted lights on disable automation to test. Tap on automation name to further expand options.
Step 4
Here you can check time and day of week the Automation is programmed to activate. The days highlighted are active.
You can also select "People" and then see "Off", "When I'm Home" or "When I'm not home" for more defined programming. This would be a good area to check regarding automations as it may explain why a wanted action is not happening or is activating when not wanted due to the location of a user.
