Ketra x96 LS0 Lightbar Slim Troubleshooting
The Lightbar Slim and x96 require that you properly wire all of the Luminaires. Some things that can cause the system to act unexpectedly are:
- Swapping luminaires after activation
- Adding additional luminaires after activation
Installation and Verification
- Follow the steps in the installation guide and verify that the input wiring, mounting, and output wiring have all been completed correctly.
- Once your x96 is wired to all luminaires, apply power and activate it into your system.
- Wait 15 minutes after devices are activated, then perform the verification steps below:
- From Lutron Designer, navigate to
Diagnostics → verify ccx and dual radio devices
- Verify the luminaires are controllable via the Mobile App and the controls in the space work per the programming.
- From Lutron Designer, navigate to

The load isn't at the intended color |
If you can control the device from the Mobile App, check the programming.
Can’t control any luminaires |
Confirm the X96 is activated. Confirm that the database transfer is completed. Attempt to control the luminaires from the app. Review the programming. Deactivate and reactivate the X96.
Can only control some of the luminaires |
One or more luminaires are fully or partially disconnected.

Check that the system has identified all Luminaires. |
Magenta (After 60 seconds) |
One or more luminaires are wired backwards (power is applied to the wrong end of the linear). The feedback applies to all luminaires downstream. Check for proper wiring and then Trigger Rediscovery.

Tools for Troubleshooting / Verification
Diagnostics
This diagnostic allows you to verify if the x96 has identified all of the luminaires. The x96 updates this value either when the device is activated into the system, or when rediscovery is triggered.
-
Navigate to
Lutron Designer → Diagnostics → verify ccx and dual radio devices
-
Using either the refresh or refresh all button, retrieve the number of luminaires discovered by the X96 device.
-
Record the number of luminaires connected to the x96 in the physical installation.
Fix:
-
If the number of luminaires communicating does not match the number of luminaires discovered, check the wiring and then click refresh.
-
If the number of luminaires discovered does not match the number of luminaires installed, continue to the Rediscovery steps.
Rediscovery
Allows you to fix issues with Luminaire Discovery / Identification.
From the Device:
-
Triple tap the X96 button located next to the output connector.
From Lutron Designer:
-
Navigate to
Lutron Designer → Diagnostics → verify ccx and dual radio devices
-
Click Rediscover (Available over both local and remote connections)
-
The current number of luminaires that are discovered/identified by the X96 controller will be updated automatically
