If your Lutron device responds to button presses on the device but it does not respond to commands from the Lutron app or Apple Home app, the dimmer, switch, or shade may be out of range of your Lutron Smart Hub or Main Repeater. Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:
Step 1
Confirm the dimmer, switch, or shade is within RF range of the Smart Hub or Main Repeater. If it is greater than 30 feet away (through obstructions like walls or floors) move the Smart Hub so it is within range of the device having the issue.
If you are unable to move the Smart Hub closer a Lutron wireless repeater, or range extender, can be added to your system to boost the signal strength. The amount of repeaters or extenders depends on which Lutron system is being used.
Lutron PRO Tip: Lutron’s devices do not communicate over Wi-Fi. The addition of a Wi-Fi booster or repeater will not improve the signal strength of the Lutron devices.
